There’s something so satisfying about ginger tea. When you’re a bit down and not feeling well – ginger tea says “you poor thing, come here – I’ll take care of you.” It’s warm and comforting and given the way that I feel right now, it’s exactly what my body needs. This week I caught a cold and have been feeling pretty bad for myself, so I’ve been making this tea. Every time I drink it, I feel instantly soothed. Quick and easy to make – if you feel a cold coming on, are congested or have an upset stomach, definitely try this recipe. By the way, it’s also delicious!

Ginger: Great for an upset tummy – it relieves stomach discomfort and aids in digestion by boosting your metabolism, which helps your body to break down fat and protein easier. Ginger has also been shown to reduce nausea and motion sickness, a great relief to pregnant women! Another really cool property of ginger is that it contains anti-inflammatory compounds called gingerols, which are superstars in helping to reduce pain and discomfort – especially for people suffering from arthritis. It’s anti-viral and warms the body, making it a perfect remedy for colds & flu. So, with ginger, you’re pretty well looked after!
